I have been working at the department of Biomedical Engineering & Informatics since august 2008. My main tasks are to prepare project ideas and coordinate national and international grant applications. A significant focus is minimal- and non-invasive techniques for detecting biochemical parameters in vivo for clinical diagnostics and E-health applications. Main areas of interest are chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
I received my M.Sc. degree in Physics (specialised in Biomaterials science and Biological applications) from Linköping University of Technology, Linköping, Sweden in 2000, and my Ph.D. in Bioscience from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden in 2005. My primary research field has been biochemical and biophysical characterisation of medically relevant macromolecules, such as proteins and carbohydrates related to infectious disease. I also have research experience within the fields of biomaterials science and biosensor development.
