FoU - Per Hallberg

My focus is development and evaluation of sensors, models and methods for the measurement of biomedical parameters. My qualification is M.Sc. in Physics and employed as a biomedical engineer at Norrlands University Hospital since 2001. I receive my PhD in 2006 with the thesis Applanation Resonance Tonometry for Intraocular pressure measurement at the department of applied physics and electronics, Umeå University. Between 2007 and 2011 I was employed as a research and development manager at the engineering company Bioresonator AB. In parallel, I have performed research on ocular biomechanics in close collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology, Norrlands University Hospital, and the measurement of its adequate parameters.
To increase understanding of how the eye is affected by biomechanical changes, the research collaboration has expanded with a group led by Khalid Ambarki in order to evaluate how the blood flow to the eye response to the biomechanical structures.
